거대한 유리 새장 속에서 새들은 자유로워 보인다. 새가 비행한 궤적이 공중에 보이지 않는 실선을 남기고 있었다. 서로의 궤적을 교차하는 새들이 빠르게 실선을 통과할 때, 음표가 오선을 스치듯 새소리가 울려 퍼진다. 너는 노랫소리처럼 들리는 꿈속 새들의 울음소리를 기억한다. 이 소리를 꿈 밖으로 가져가도 새들은 여전히 살아 있을까? 유리 새장은 너무나 투명해 보이지 않고, 단지 실선의 소용돌이에 휘말린 새들에 의해 반복적으로 연역될 수 있을 뿐이다. 새들은 너무나 투명해 보이지 않고, 단지 희미해지는 새소리로 말미암아 세상 어딘가에 음악이 있다는 것을 알려준다. 깜빡이는 음표의 잔상을 남기며 여러 겹의 실선을 가로지르는 새들은 거의 자유로워 보인다. 너는 가장 복잡한 연산의 한가운데에 놓인 단 하나의 질서를 기억한다. 꿈속의 유리 새장은 음악처럼 눈에 보이지 않지만 그 안에는 네가 기억하는 모든 새들이 날아다니고 있었다. 이 꿈을 유리 새장 안에 넣을 수는 없을까?

You remember this glass cage from the dream.

In this vast glass cage, birds seem to be flying free. As they fly, they make invisible paths across the air. As the birds cross each other’s paths and swiftly pass between the lines, sound of birds resonate like notes floating on a manuscript. You remember this sound of birds that rings in your head like a song. Would the birds still be alive if their sounds are taken out from the dream? The glass cage is transparent and cannot be seen; its existence can only be deduced from the repetitive movement of birds caught in the torrents of lines. The birds are transparent and cannot be found; only the fading sound of birds gives you a hint that there is music somewhere in this world. Passing across multiple layers of lines while leaving traces of blinking notes, the birds almost seem to be flying free. You remember one certainty that stands in the middle of the most complex equations. That the glass cage from the dream cannot be seen, just like music, but inside the cage, there were birds from your memory that keeps flying around. Can this dream be locked in the glass cage?
